Our Pastor

“And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.”
 Jeremiah 3:15

Pastor Trevis A. Hall, a native of Memphis Tennessee , is the elder of two children born to Mr. and Mrs. Sidney A. Hall.  He gave his life to Christ and received his early Christian training at the First Baptist Church (Broad Avenue) in Memphis.  It was there, he began giving speeches, singing, and directing choirs.  After graduating high school, Pastor Hall came to Washington, DC to further his education.  It was during this time that he received the baptism in the Holy Ghost and became a member of the Church Of God In Christ.  For nearly fifteen years, Pastor Hall served as an associate minister at the New Bethel Church Of God In Christ.  He faithfully served under the leadership of New Bethel’s founder, the late Bishop Sherman S. Howard, and continued to serve Bishop Howard's successor, Bishop Neavelle A. Coles, Sr.

After answering the call to preach the Gospel in 1991, Pastor Hall completed a three-year preparatory course of study at the Samuel Kelsey Bible Institute earning a Master Teacher’s Certificate.  In August 1994, he was ordained at the hands of the late Bishop Warren G. Crudup, Sr.  Since that time, he has worked in numerous capacities in ministry.  Pastor Hall was appointed Adjutant Episcopal in 1998 and served his leader, Bishop Howard, with grace and dignity.  In 2000, he was privileged to assume the role of Chief Adjutant (Minister of Protocol) of the Washington DC Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction of the Church Of God In Christ .  Since 1998, Pastor Hall has also served the Presiding Bishop of the Church Of God In Christ as a National Adjutant and Platform Protocol Assistant.  After much prayer and hearing the voice of God, he answered the call to the pastoral ministry in 2007 and now serves as the under-shepherd of the Abundant Life Church Of God In Christ.

Also an accomplished and anointed psalmist, Pastor Hall has been a member of several notable singing aggregations.  The Voices of Memphis, the renowned Howard Gospel Choir of Howard University, and the acclaimed Radio Choir of the New Bethel Church, to name a few.  Over the years, he has also been favored to minister in song with many gospel notables.  Pastor Hall has appeared as a featured soloist on the Washington DC Jurisdiction’s recording entitled “Twenty-four Seven”, IMI Music’s recordings, “Church It Up”, “Voices”, “Hallelujah Heritage”, and “A Joyful Christmas”.

Whether preaching the Word, ministering in song, or facilitating workshops and seminars, Pastor Hall is sincerely humbled by the many opportunities he has been afforded to serve the Body of Christ.  When asked about his achievements in the many areas of Word, servant, and music ministries, he simply says in the words of Psalm 118, “This is the Lord’s doing; it is marvelous in my eyes.”
